Policies

Cyber Safety

At Silkwood we value the online safety of our students and have programs and policies in place to address issues of cyber-bullying and harassment. Australian students live in a digital world. Whilst this world is an amazing source of entertainment, information and connections, they need to learn how to avoid the dangers of its misuse.

BYOD Program

Bring your own device (BYOD) refers to the policy of permitting students to bring their own laptop to school. BYOD enables the laptop to be used at home for both personal and school work so students are not limited to use only during school hours. Click below to download a PDF.

Data Compliance

Government regulations and legislation now mandate the integrity, accessibility and long-term retention of data. Silkwood School takes the protection and security of personal data very seriously and therefore comply with the 13 Australian Privacy Principles as stated in the Privacy Act 1988.

WiFi / EME

Wi-Fi technology allow Students and the School Team to be able to access the School’s network and the internet from any connected mobile device. This provides a dynamic and flexible learning environment that is not constrained by requiring physical access points.
